AirTAC Pneumatics
AirTAC 5V series 5-port solenoid valves for double-acting cylinders: four body sizes, single or double solenoid plus three 5/3 centres, M5 to 15 ports, five coil voltages - 350 models ready to quote.
inventory_2350 models availableThe AirTAC 5V series is a 5-port directional control valve line built to switch double-acting pneumatic cylinders. Every model carries the five ports a double-acting circuit needs, in five functions: 10 two-position single solenoid with spring return, 20 two-position double solenoid that holds its last position when de-energised, and 30C, 30E and 30P three-position valves with closed, exhaust or pressure centre. The full function set is stocked in every body class, so you never have to change body size to get a centre-position valve.
Four body classes cover the flow span: 5V1 on M5 and 06 ports, 5V2 on 06 and 08, 5V3 on 08 and 10, and 5V4 on 15, with flow rising as the body number climbs. Every model is stocked in all five standard AirTAC coil voltages - A (AC220V), B (DC24V), C (AC110V), E (AC24V) and F (DC12V) - so the valve always matches the panel you have. 350 live SKUs cover the whole matrix, priced from about $47 to about $167.
Each part number also exists as two stocked variants, distinguished by a trailing 050 or 200 code. Send us your application together with the code, and we confirm which variant fits before you order. Pressure, flow and electrical figures for 5V are confirmed from the datasheet per part number - include the full code in your RFQ and we return them with the quotation.

A 5V220 double-solenoid valve remembers the last commanded state through a control-power blip, so a clamp that was told to stay clamped does not reverse the moment the PLC output drops.
An exhaust-centre 5V230E vents both cylinder ports in the middle position, so an operator can free-wheel a jammed packaging slider by hand with the coils de-energised.
Large-bore diverters need flow, not finesse: a 5V4 body on 15 ports gives the biggest capacity in the series, and the pressure-centre 5V430P keeps both cylinder lines live between moves.
On compact automation, a 5V1 single-solenoid valve on M5 or 06 ports springs the gripper or ejector back to a safe side whenever control power is lost - no software interlock required.
Start with the load: 5V valves drive double-acting cylinders, while a single-acting cylinder needs a 3-port valve from the AirTAC 3V series instead. Then size the body against the cylinder bore and the speed you want - 5V1 for small bores, stepping up to 5V4 for the largest; an under-sized valve starves the cylinder and slows the stroke. Pick the function next: 10 for spring return to a known side on power loss, 20 where the valve must remember its last position, 30C to stop the airflow mid-stroke, 30E to vent both cylinder ports in centre, 30P to keep both pressurised. Then take the port thread from the body's pair, the coil voltage from your panel, and ask us about the 050 / 200 variant.
The five points to match before ordering: body size against cylinder bore, function (10, 20, 30C, 30E or 30P), port thread (M5, 06, 08, 10 or 15), coil voltage (AC220V, DC24V, AC110V, AC24V or DC12V), and the trailing 050 or 200 variant. Step outside the series when the job does: single-acting cylinders take the AirTAC 3V line; if you want to gang valves on a manifold, the AirTAC 6V series adds the 6V-F manifold base; for a valve that bolts straight onto an actuator, the AirTAC 4M NAMUR valve mounts directly. Feed every 5V clean, dry air - a GFR filter regulator or GC F.R.L. unit upstream protects the valve internals.
Quick checklist
Four body classes: 5V1 on M5 and 06 ports, 5V2 on 06 and 08, 5V3 on 08 and 10, and 5V4 on 15. Every class is stocked in all five functions (10 single solenoid, 20 double solenoid, 30C, 30E and 30P centres) and all five coil voltages (AC220V, DC24V, AC110V, AC24V, DC12V). That is 350 live SKUs, priced from about $47 to about $167.
30C (closed centre) blocks all five ports, stopping the airflow mid-stroke - the cylinder can still drift under load, so a centre position is not a lock or brake; use a mechanical lock or pilot check valve where load holding matters. 30E (exhaust centre) vents both cylinder ports, letting the load be moved by hand. 30P (pressure centre) pressurises both cylinder sides at once.
Every 5V model is listed as two variants distinguished by the trailing 050 or 200 code. AirTAC does not publish what that code selects, so we confirm it for your part number rather than guess: send the full model code and your application in the RFQ and we come back with the right variant.
A 5V is a 5-port valve for double-acting cylinders; a single-acting cylinder needs a 3-port valve from the AirTAC 3V series. The 4V series is a separate 5-port line, not an earlier or later version of the 5V. All 5V models are listed and orderable - lead time is confirmed on request with your RFQ.
