The ACQD is the double-rod version of the AirTAC ACQ JIS-dimension compact cylinder. A rod exits both ends, making push and pull force equal in both directions. The twin rods also resist rotation and guide the load directly, eliminating the need for external guide rods in many setups.
The series spans 13 bores from 12 to 160 mm. At 0.5 MPa, the reduced-area pull force spans from about 45 N at bore 12 up into the several-thousand-Newton range at large bores. Ports scale with the bore size, and standard magnetic-switch grooves allow position sensing.
It uses a double-acting design with a fixed elastomer bumper for end-of-stroke deceleration. The compact body uses C-clip retention. It is a JIS-dimension thin cylinder, not a tie-rod or ISO cylinder. The AirTAC double-rod compact alternative is the SDAD series.

Match the bore to your load: smaller bores like 12-25 mm suit light pick-and-place, while 80-160 mm bores handle heavy lifting. Always confirm these 5 points: bore size, stroke, port/thread size, mounting style, and if the -S magnet option is needed for switches.
Step out of the ACQD series if you need adjustable stroke cushioning (consider the ACQJ) or a single-rod compact design (consider the ACQ). If your application requires an ISO interface or heavy tie-rod construction, ACQD is not the right fit. The elastomer bumper only decelerates the piston; it does not hold position. A mechanical lock or pilot check valve is required for load holding.
