The AirTAC ATQ series is a single-acting (pull) JIS-dimension compact cylinder. Air pressure retracts the rod, while an internal spring pushes it back out. If air pressure is lost, the spring forces the rod to its extended state, providing a fail-safe extended function for safety-critical motion.
The series spans 8 bores from 12 to 63 mm. Ports scale with the bore size, and standard magnetic-switch grooves allow position sensing. It uses a compact C-clip retained body with a fixed elastomer bumper for end-of-stroke deceleration.
Net retract force equals the air force minus the return-spring force. Because the spring resists motion, a minimum pressure is required before the cylinder can pull. Size from the specific model figure. Choose ATQ when the default state must hold the rod extended and air pulls it back.
