The MFJ series is the adjustable-stroke version of the AirTAC MF JIS round-body mini cylinder. It uses a SUS304 stainless steel barrel with aluminium covers and operates double acting. An external adjusting screw lets you shorten the extend stroke on site within a set window, without changing the cylinder itself.
The range spans two bores: 32 mm and 40 mm. Rod diameter is 12 mm for the 32 mm bore and 16 mm for the 40 mm bore. Ports are 1/4 inch and available in PT, G or NPT threads. The base standard stroke goes up to 500 mm, while the adjust window codes offer 10, 20, 30 or 40 mm of on-site forward stroke reduction.
Force class spans from about 402 N push at 0.5 MPa for the 32 mm bore up to 628 N for the 40 mm bore. Theoretical maximum force at 1.0 MPa is about 82 kgf for bore 32 and 128 kgf for bore 40. The shared design includes a fixed TPU bumper for deceleration only, operates on 40 um filtered air, and supports a pressure range of 0.15-1.0 MPa with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa. Operating temperature is -20 to +70 C and speed ranges from 30-800 mm/s. An -S magnet option is available for use with CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensors. The MFJ is JIS-standard and is notably shorter than an ISO 6432 cylinder of the same bore.
