The AirTAC MSBL is a single-acting push aluminum mini round cylinder. Air pressure extends the rod, while an internal spring returns it. This fail-safe design ensures the cylinder retracts automatically on air loss, requiring only one solenoid line. It features a riveted rolling-packed aluminum body with fixed bumpers.
The series spans four bores: 20, 25, 32 and 40 mm. Ports are G1/8 for the 20-32 mm bores and G1/4 for the 40 mm bore, with rod diameters of 8, 10, 12 and 16 mm respectively. Strokes are limited by the bore size, making it ideal for short-stroke operations.
Net extend force is the air force minus the return-spring force, and a minimum pressure is required before motion. The MSBL is the direct replacement for the discontinued MSAL series. It does not conform to ISO 6432 or ISO 15552 standards. An optional magnet (-S suffix) supports CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensors.
