The AirTAC MSI series is the single-acting push variant of the MI stainless round-body mini cylinder. Air pressure extends the rod, while an internal mechanical spring returns it to the retracted position. This fail-safe retract-on-air-loss design requires only one solenoid line, saving air and valve positions in simple actuation tasks.
The series spans eight bores: 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 32 and 40mm. Bores 8-25mm conform to the ISO 6432 mounting standard, while the 32mm and 40mm sizes are larger non-ISO formats. Because it is single-acting, stroke lengths are short and limited by the bore size.
Shared design features include a stainless barrel and a fixed bumper for end-of-stroke deceleration. Net extend force is the air force minus the return-spring force, meaning a minimum pressure is required before motion begins. The -S magnet variant is available for CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensor integration.
