The AirTAC MTI series is the single-acting spring-return pull version of the MI mini cylinder line. Air pressure retracts the rod, while an internal spring pushes it back out. This normally-extended design provides a fail-safe state if air pressure is lost.
The series spans eight bores from 8 to 40mm. Bores 8-25mm conform to the ISO 6432 mounting standard, while the 32mm and 40mm sizes are larger non-ISO formats. The stainless barrel provides corrosion resistance. A fixed bumper provides end-of-stroke deceleration.
An important sizing note for this pull cylinder: the net retract force is the air force minus the return-spring force, and a minimum pressure is required before motion begins.
