The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B5F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The AirTAC 3V106B5F is a five-valve manifold assembly of 3/2 solenoid valves with 1/8 PT ports. Each valve is direct-acting, single solenoid with spring return, so it either feeds its outlet line or vents it to exhaust - the job profile of single-acting cylinders, blow-off nozzles, clamps or a pilot signal to a larger valve. Every valve is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet before wiring.
Each DC24V coil draws just 3.0 W, so one compact switch-mode supply can run the whole bank, and the DIN plug connection is sealed to IP65 (DIN 40050). Supply air filtered to 40 um or finer; no lubrication is needed.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 5F | 5 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
The 5-station 3V1 bank feeds and vents spring-return swing clamps around a weld cell, one valve per fixture station, with the manual override used during setup.
One station of the manifold drives pulsed air blow to dry bottle necks before labelling, the spring return cutting the air the instant the coil de-energises.
Each 3/2 valve sends a pilot signal to a larger diaphragm process valve, the 3.0 W DC24V coil letting a PLC output switch it directly.
3V1 is the smallest, lowest-power body in the AirTAC 3V range, and no Cv is published for it - if your duty is flow-critical, confirm sizing with us first. Need more flow? Step up to 3V2 (1/8 and 1/4, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4, Cv 0.62); if manifold density matters more than flow, 3V2M is the purpose-built choice. A double-acting cylinder needs a 5-port valve - send that requirement to the AirTAC 4V series. Before ordering, match five points: port (M5 or 1/8), thread (PT is the standard on this family; G or NPT are order options), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and individual valve versus manifold station count.

Operating pressure is 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) and media temperature spans -20 to 70 C. Each DC24V coil draws 3.0 W; the 3V1 family also runs AC220V and AC110V at 4.5 VA, AC24V at 5.0 VA and DC12V at 2.5 W. DIN plug connections are IP65 (DIN 40050), air must be filtered to 40 um or finer, and lubrication is not required. No flow coefficient (Cv) or effective area is published for 3V1 - ask us to confirm flow suitability.
Each 3/2 station has three ports - supply, outlet, exhaust - and two states, so it feeds or vents one line. That suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping and pilot duty. It will not drive a double-acting cylinder; use the AirTAC 4V series for that. Between 1 and 20 stations can share a common base on this family.
