The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI19F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
3V106BI19F is a nineteen-station island of AirTAC 3V1 valves mounted in series on a single manifold base. Every position is a direct-acting, single-solenoid 3/2 valve with spring return: it either pressurises its own outlet or vents that line to exhaust, so each station can drive a small single-acting cylinder, run an air-blow jet, clamp a part or pilot a bigger valve. The valve is supplied in one fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet before locking your sequence.
Each station carries a DC24V coil wired by pre-fitted lead-out wires instead of a DIN socket, so you land the wires straight on your own terminal strip. At 3.0 W per coil the whole 19-station bank draws under 60 W, and the IP65 (DIN 40050) coil construction plus a manual override on every station keeps installation and commissioning straightforward.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 19F | 19 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A horizontal cartoning machine pushes finished packs off each lane; nineteen spring-return eject cylinders each get their own 3/2 station, all fed from one manifold air supply.
On a rotary label press, each station vents or feeds a small blow nozzle that clears dust from the print drum before the next colour, one 3.0 W coil per jet.
A test bench holds a block with a row of small spring-return clamps; each clamp line is fed and exhausted by its own station, so a failed clamp is swapped without disturbing the rest.
No Cv or effective-area figure is published for the 3V1 body, so have us confirm flow before committing nineteen stations to a duty where air consumption matters. If your circuit needs more, the family ladder steps up to 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, rated for vacuum) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); where a compact island beats raw flow, 3V2M is the denser alternative. Before ordering, match five points: the 1/8in port in PT (G or NPT threads are catalogue options to order), the DC24V coil, flying-lead entry, the 19F station count, and air filtered to 40 um or finer - lubrication is not required. A 3/2 valve cannot cycle a double-acting cylinder; route that requirement to the AirTAC 4V series.

Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); media and ambient temperature -20 to 70 C; DC24V coil power 3.0 W (other 3V1 coils: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC12V 2.5 W); coil protection IP65 to DIN 40050. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective-area figure for 3V1, so ask us to confirm flow for critical duties.
Every station has its own DC24V coil on a pre-fitted lead-out wire rather than a DIN socket, so each pair of wires lands directly on your terminal strip and each valve is controlled independently. A manual override on every station lets you jog outputs during commissioning without power.
