The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI4F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Four 3/2 valves, one base: 3V106BI4F is a four-station AirTAC 3V1 manifold with PT1/8 ports, direct-acting single-solenoid construction and spring return on every station. The DC24V coils draw 3.0 W each - light enough for small PLC transistor outputs - and the flying-lead entry brings each coil out on a pre-wired lead, so no DIN plugs are ordered or lost.
Each station controls its own line independently: it pressurises the outlet or dumps it to exhaust. IP65 (DIN 40050) coil housings shrug off dust and splash, a manual override on every station lets you jog outputs during setup, and the air only needs 40 um or finer filtration - lubrication is not required. Supplied in a single fixed initial state per valve; confirm it on the datasheet.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 4F | 4 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Four blow jets eject parts from fixtures on a rotary indexing machine, one dedicated valve per jet at 3.0 W of coil draw.
Analyser sample probes get an air purge between runs, with four independent lines handled by one compact PT1/8 manifold block.
Flying leads land straight onto terminal blocks inside tight electrical cabinets where plug-in DIN connectors will not fit.
Check the flow first: AirTAC publishes no Cv for 3V1, so if your cycle depends on flow rate, tell us the duty before you buy. More capacity comes from 3V2, which spans 1/8 in and 1/4 in ports, offers selectable NC or NO function, Cv 0.18-0.19 and a vacuum rating, or from 3V3 at 1/4 in with Cv 0.62. If packaging density outranks flow, the 3V2M manifold body is the alternative to weigh. Double-acting cylinders need 5 ports - the AirTAC 4V series covers that job.
For this four-station code, lock down: the port (M5 or 1/8 in), thread style (PT standard on 3V1, with G and NPT available to order), coil voltage, entry style (plug-in DIN or this flying lead), and the station count, from a single valve up to 20.

Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); medium temperature -20 to 70 C; coil housings IP65 (DIN 40050). Rated coil power across the range: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W - the coils fitted here are DC24V. Function is 3/2, direct-acting, single solenoid, spring return. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for 3V1, so treat flow as confirm-from-datasheet.
The I segment in 3V106BI4F means lead-out wire entry: each coil is wired through a pre-fitted flying lead rather than a plug-in DIN socket, which suits terminal-block or conduit landing work. Both entry styles reach IP65; 3V1 codes without the I use the DIN plug. Choose whichever wiring method your panel builder prefers.
