The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI9F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
A 9-station manifold of AirTAC 3V1 valves gives you nine independent 3/2 functions behind one mounting. Each station is direct-acting with a single solenoid and a spring return, so de-energizing always sends the spool home; the valve either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust. Nine DC24V coils at 3.0 W add up to 27 W - still a light load for a compact switched-mode 24 V supply.
Flying-lead entry (code letter I) means each coil arrives with a pre-wired lead-out rather than a DIN socket, and every station carries a manual override to help installation and commissioning. Coil protection is IP65 (DIN 40050) and the 1/8in ports are cut with the standard PT thread of this family.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 9F | 9 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Nine single-acting swing clamps hold sheet-metal panels on a modular welding table, one station per clamp position, with PT1/8 connections dropping straight onto standard pneumatic fittings.
The tamp-blow head of a high-speed labeler uses its own station to fire the blast of air that seats each label; spring return guarantees the nozzle stays vented between cycles.
Each of the nine lock cylinders on a multi-door van body is fed and vented by one station, and the 3.0 W DC24V coils match the vehicle's 24 V electrics.
Nine stations solve a nine-function panel, but flow still has to fit the 3V1 body: it is the least powerful valve in the 3V range and AirTAC publishes no Cv for it, so bring us any flow-critical duty for sizing. Upgrades are 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, selectable NC or NO, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) and 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); when manifold density beats flow as the priority, choose 3V2M. And remember the 3-port rule: a single-acting cylinder, a blow nozzle or a pilot line belongs here - a double-acting cylinder belongs on a 5-port AirTAC 4V valve.
Lock down five order points: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order), voltage, entry style, and station count - 1F to 20F exist, and this code fixes 9.

Nine 3/2 direct-acting, spring-return stations on one manifold. Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi). Temperature -20 to 70 C. Coil power at DC24V is 3.0 W per station; family-wide the figures are 4.5 VA (AC220V and AC110V), 5.0 VA (AC24V) and 2.5 W (DC12V). Protection IP65 per DIN 40050. Air must be filtered to 40 um or better; lubrication is not required. No Cv is published for 3V1, so ask us to verify flow-critical uses.
No - the 3V1 platform is ordered from 1F up to 20F stations in series, so you can consolidate up to twenty valves on one base. This SKU is fixed at nine stations with flying-lead coils (3.0 W each at DC24V) and 1/8in PT ports; G and NPT threads exist as order options. The valves are supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet before you design the interlock logic.
