The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106CI8F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106CI8F is a factory-integrated manifold assembly of eight AirTAC 3V106CI valves - 1/8in PT ports, AC110V coils at 4.5 VA, each with flying leads - mounted in series on a common base. Eight 3/2-way, direct-acting, spring-return valves in one block replace eight separate bodies, their individual plumbing and their brackets.
Every station still switches its own line between feed and exhaust, so the block runs single-acting cylinders, clamps, blow nozzles or pilot signals independently. IP65 sealing to DIN 40050 covers the coils, and air fed to the base must be filtered to 40 um or finer; lubrication is not required.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC110V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 8F | 8 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Eight spring-return swing clamps around an automotive sub-assembly jig are fed and vented from one manifold block, cutting plumbing versus eight loose valves.
Each pocket of a small parts sorter gets its own 3/2 station to actuate a single-acting gripper, while one common supply serves the whole 8-station base.
Drives small single-acting pushers that index sample trays through a laboratory analyser, all switched from one compact 8-valve block with flying-lead coils.
Count your stations before ordering: the 3V1 manifold is offered from 1F to 20F, and this code fixes eight. Because AirTAC publishes no Cv for the 3V1 body, treat it as a low-flow, low-power family - the smallest in the 3V range - and step up to 3V2 (Cv 0.18-0.19, NC or NO selectable, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62) when a station needs real flow. If manifold density outweighs flow, 3V2M is the alternative body.
Your five checks: 1/8in port, PT thread (G or NPT available as order options), the AC110V 4.5 VA coil, flying-lead entry, and the eight-station manifold format. Need double-acting cylinders driven? That is a 5-port job for the AirTAC 4V series.

It combines eight 3/2-way direct-acting, spring-return valves on one base, each a PT1/8in port with an AC110V 4.5 VA flying-lead coil. Pressure range 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature -20 to 70 C, IP65 to DIN 40050, air filtered to 40 um or better. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for 3V1 - confirm flow suitability with us for flow-critical stations.
The 3V1 family is catalogued from 1F to 20F stations, so a different count is ordered as a separate assembly code rather than rebuilt in the field. Each station is an independent 3/2 valve that feeds or vents its own line - ideal for single-acting cylinders and pilots, not for double-acting cylinders, which require the 5-port AirTAC 4V series.
