The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106F3F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106F3F groups three 1/8in PT direct-acting 3/2 valves onto one shared base, so a single mounting footprint replaces three separate bodies and their individual plumbing. Every valve controls one line - feed it or vent it - which fits single-acting cylinders, clamps, blow-off or pilot service.
Each DC12V coil takes only 2.5 W, so three valves together stay comfortably within reach of a small switch-mode 12 V supply. Coils are protected to IP65 (DIN 40050), a manual override is fitted to every station for commissioning, and the DIN plug connection lets a pre-wired harness be lifted off during service. Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC12V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 3F | 3 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Three spring-return dwell cylinders around a rotary indexing table are each fed and vented by one station, holding parts only while the 12 V signal is present.
One station drives a narrow air nozzle that clears dust from populated boards, while a second pilots a hold-down and the third vents a single-acting ejector.
A compact control cabinet uses the three valves as pilot stages that trigger larger process valves, all at 2.5 W per coil so the panel PSU barely notices.
Because the 3V106F3F puts three circuits on one base, check the five match points first: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT is the family standard, with G and NPT as catalogue options to order), coil voltage, entry style (DIN plug or flying lead) and station count. AirTAC publishes no Cv for the 3V1 body, so if a duty is flow-critical, confirm it with us before ordering. When a single circuit needs more flow, move up to the 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or the 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); if dense manifolding rather than flow is the goal, 3V2M is the dedicated choice. Double-acting actuators belong on the 5-port AirTAC 4V series, not here.

Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), media temperature -20 to 70 C, DC12V coil power 2.5 W per valve, protection IP65 (DIN 40050), air filtered to 40 um or finer, no lubrication needed. Note that AirTAC does not publish a Cv or effective area for the 3V1 body - confirm flow with us for critical duties.
The 3V106F3F coils run on 12 V DC at 2.5 W each, which suits battery-backed cabinets, mobile machines and low-voltage control panels. The DIN plug connection lets each coil be disconnected without disturbing the wiring, and the coil housing carries IP65 (DIN 40050) protection. Pressure range is 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) with media from -20 to 70 C.
