The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106F7F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Seven 3/2 valves share one base in the AirTAC 3V106F7F manifold. Each position is a direct-acting, single-solenoid valve with spring return: energise the 2.5 W DC12V coil and the outlet pressurises, cut power and the spring shifts the valve back while the line vents to exhaust. That behaviour is what single-acting cylinders, air blow and pilot signals rely on.
Ports are 1/8in PT, the standard thread on this family, and every station carries a manual override so the machine can be set up before power is applied. Coil housings meet IP65 (DIN 40050), and the supply air must be filtered to 40 um or finer - no lubricator is required in the air preparation.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC12V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 7F | 7 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A pop-up stopper on a bottling conveyor extends from one station and retracts by spring the instant the coil is cut.
Spring-return clamps on a biscuit wrapping machine hold the film splice, venting safely whenever the 12 V signal is lost.
Each station sends a pilot signal to a larger pneumatic process valve on a water treatment skid, venting it closed on de-energisation.
Flow is the number to watch: AirTAC publishes no Cv for the 3V1 body, so if your duty is flow-critical, send us the application and we will confirm the sizing. For higher flow move up to 3V2 (1/8in or 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); where manifold density beats flow, 3V2M is the alternative body. Double-acting cylinders are a 5-port job - specify the AirTAC 4V series instead.
Five checks before you buy: port size and thread (1/8in PT standard here; G and NPT are order options), coil voltage (DC12V on this code), electrical entry (flying lead rather than DIN plug), and manifold station count versus individual valves.

Operating range 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050) coil protection, 1/8in PT ports. Coil power by voltage: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W (the coil fitted here). Air must be filtered to 40 um or finer; no lubrication is needed. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for 3V1 - confirm flow with us.
No. A 3/2 valve feeds or vents a single line, so it suits single-acting (spring-return) cylinders, blow duties and pilot signals. A double-acting cylinder needs pressure on both sides simultaneously, which requires a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series.
