
The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106FI5F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A juice filler kicks under-filled bottles off each lane; five 3/2 stations pulse single-acting ejector cylinders from one shared manifold base.
Five swing clamps on a bracket-welding fixture are held by spring force and released by 12 V coil pulses, with flying leads wired straight into the fixture junction box.
On a compact water-treatment skid, the 3/2 stations pilot larger diaphragm process valves, switching each between feed and vent states on demand.
Size the 3V106FI5F both ways. Upward: if any line needs more flow than this smallest 3V body can pass - no Cv is published for 3V1 - move to 3V2, which covers 1/8in and 1/4in with selectable NC or NO function, Cv 0.18-0.19 and a vacuum rating, or to the 1/4in 3V3 at Cv 0.62. On density: 3V2M packs valves even tighter when manifold space, not flow, is the constraint.
