The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106H-AM is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The AirTAC 3V106H-AM is a 3/2-way, direct-acting solenoid valve on the compact 3V1 body with a 1/8 inch port. It either feeds or vents a single line, which makes it a match for single-acting (spring-return) cylinders, air blow-off, clamping and pilot duty. A single solenoid with spring return puts the valve back to its rest state whenever power is cut, and a manual override is fitted to help during installation and commissioning.
One point needs attention before you order: H-AM is not a standard 3V1 ordering suffix. The catalogue voltage codes run A (AC220V), B (DC24V), C (AC110V), E (AC24V) and F (DC12V), so the coil fitted to this exact code must be confirmed from the datasheet or by RFQ. The body itself is settled: 0-0.8 MPa operating pressure, IP65 coil protection, air filtered to 40 um or finer with no lubrication required, and PT as the standard thread on this family.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
This code carries a coil option we do not have documented. Ask us and we will confirm the voltage against the factory label before you order.
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Feed and vent the spring-return clamp cylinder that locks a workpiece into a fixture on a small indexing table; the spring return gives a defined rest state on every power cut.
Switch a short air jet that clears aluminum chips out of a milled pocket between cycles, using the manual override to aim the nozzle during setup without energizing the coil.
Send a small pilot signal to a larger pneumatically actuated process valve on a water-treatment skid, where a light coil keeps the control panel load down.
The 3V1 is the smallest and lowest-power body in AirTAC's 3V range, and it has no published Cv, so flow-critical sizing should be checked with us before ordering. When a duty needs more flow, step up to the 3V2 (1/8 and 1/4 inch, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, rated for vacuum) or the 3V3 (1/4 inch, Cv 0.62). Where manifold density matters more than flow, the 3V2M is the better platform. If your actuator is double-acting, that needs a 5-port valve - the AirTAC 4V series.
Five points to confirm for any 3V1 order: port (M5 or 1/8 inch), thread (PT is standard; G and NPT are catalogue options to order), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and individual valve versus a 1 to 20 station manifold. On this SKU, verify the H-AM suffix itself before sending an RFQ, because it does not decode as a standard voltage or thread segment.

Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), media temperature -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050) coil protection, and air filtered through a 40 um or finer element with no lubrication required. Coil power by catalogue voltage: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W. No flow coefficient (Cv) is published for the 3V1, so confirm flow-critical duties with us.
A 3/2 valve feeds or vents one line, so it suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping and pilot duty - it will not run a double-acting cylinder, which needs the 5-port AirTAC 4V series. The H-AM suffix is not a standard 3V1 voltage or thread segment (voltage codes are A, B, C, E, F), so the fitted coil and any port option must be confirmed from the datasheet before ordering.
