About the AirTAC 4V410-15 Solenoid Valve, 4V400 Series (4V41015D-AM)
The 4V41015D-AM is a 1/2in 5/2-way single-solenoid valve from AirTAC's 4V400 family. Energise one coil and it pressurises one side of a double-acting cylinder while exhausting the other; cut the signal and the internal spring snaps the spool back, so the actuator always parks in a known home position. With 48.0 mm2 of effective area (Cv 2.82) it is the flow leader of the 4V series and suits roughly O80-125 mm cylinders.
Its DC24V, 3.0 W coil draws little power, so it interfaces directly with standard 24 V PLC outputs and battery-fed cabinets. The spool shifts in 0.05 s or less, the terminal-box entry keeps wiring serviceable, and the PT-threaded 1/2in ports suit common Rc fittings. The aluminium body carries an IP65 rating and needs no lubrication.

Size the valve so effective area / Cv is not the bottleneck for your cylinder bore and speed. Undersized valves slow the actuator. Note 5/3 (center) versions have a smaller effective area than the 5/2 of the same body size.

Grain-silo discharge gate
An O125 double-acting cylinder (about 626 kgf push) slides a silo's discharge gate open at 3 cycles/s; if the 24 V supply fails, the spring shuts the gate and Cv 2.82 keeps the 1/2in lines unrestrictive during fast stroking.
Vacuum-truck sludge gate

Is the AirTAC 4V410-15 Solenoid Valve, 4V400 Series (4V41015D-AM) the Right Valve?
Downsize when the actuator is small: an O50 or O63 cylinder (about 100-160 kgf of push at 0.5 MPa) wastes this valve's Cv 2.82 capacity, and the 4V300 body at Cv 1.65 will cycle it just as fast. Upsize when flow must grow: 4V400 is the widest 4V body, so beyond Cv 2.82 you need a larger valve series or a parallel manifold. O80 and O125 cylinders at 0.5 MPa push roughly 256 kgf and 626 kgf respectively, the span this valve serves best.
For like-for-like replacement, match five points: 4V400 body, function 10, 1/2in port with PT thread, DC24V coil, terminal-box entry.
