About the AirTAC 4V430C-15 Solenoid Valve, 4V400 Series (4V430C15B-AM)
The AirTAC 4V430C15B-AM is the closed-centre 5/3 version of the largest valve in the 4V range, built on the 4V400 body with 1/2" PT ports. Two solenoids pulse the spool between extend, hold and retract: at the centre position every port is blocked, so a double-acting cylinder parks exactly where it stopped. With an effective area of 40 mm2 (Cv 2.35) and a maximum cycling rate of 3 cycles per second, it is the flow class to reach for when smaller 4V valves start to throttle your stroke speed.
This SKU is fitted with an AMISCO (Italian) solenoid coil on the 24 V DC supply, wired through a screw-terminal electrical entry, and carries the standard 0.15-0.8 MPa operating band, response time of 0.05 s or better, and IP65 protection. Size the valve so effective area / Cv is not the bottleneck for your cylinder bore and speed. Undersized valves slow the actuator. Note 5/3 (center) versions have a smaller effective area than the 5/2 of the same body size.

If your bore sits at or below about 63 mm, step down to the 4V300 (Cv 1.65) to save cost; for cylinder bores around 80-125 mm, this Cv 2.35 body keeps travel times short. Where the load could drop if air is lost, add pilot-operated check valves at the cylinder ports - no directional valve alone is a certified safety brake.
