The AirTAC AirTAC 4V430P-15 Solenoid Valve, 4V400 Series (4V430P15-X0) is a genuine 5/3-way 5/3 double solenoid — pressure center solenoid valve with X0 ports and an effective area of 40.0 mm² (Cv 2.35). It is an internally piloted spool valve that directs compressed air to double-acting cylinders and actuators.
Here the pressure-centre logic is the headline: at rest both cylinder ports stay live, so a double-acting cylinder resists drift from side loads and settles into a balanced mid-stroke without a mechanical detent. The valve delivers 40.0 mm2 effective area, Cv 2.35, at up to 3 cycles per second, right for double-acting cylinders around O80-125 mm bore.
This code is built with 1/2in PT tapered ports and a terminal-box entry in the 770 g aluminium 4V400 body; response is 0.05 s or below and protection is IP65. Because no voltage letter appears in the code, confirm the coil voltage for your panel when you place the RFQ.

Size the valve so effective area / Cv is not the bottleneck for your cylinder bore and speed. Undersized valves slow the actuator. Note 5/3 (center) versions have a smaller effective area than the 5/2 of the same body size.

A gantry carriage driven by an O100 mm cylinder (near 400 kgf at 0.5 MPa) stays put between cuts because both chambers remain pressured at centre; with 0.05 s response the slide re-enters cycle the moment a coil is pulsed.
Swing clamps on O80 mm rams (about 256 kgf push at 0.5 MPa) that must park at a neutral angle between parts hold that angle under panel vibration, since pressure centre keeps both sides live instead of venting them.
Concrete-block mould ejectors on O125 mm cylinders need both faces loaded to keep the platen square before the stroke; Cv 2.35 moves that platen at up to 3 cycles per second once the mould is released.
Down-size to the 4V300 (Cv 1.65) when the cylinder is smaller than about O80 mm or your air supply is modest. At the top of the range, O125 mm bores push roughly 626 kgf at 0.5 MPa and this body is the largest 4V offers, so more flow means a larger valve series or a manifold group on a common base.
Prefer 30C when you want ports blocked rather than both pressured. Match a replacement on: 4V400 body, function 30P, 1/2in port and PT thread, coil voltage, terminal entry.
Quick checklist
Yes: 40.0 mm2 effective area, Cv 2.35, 3 cycles per second maximum, 0.05 s or faster response, 0.15-0.8 MPa working range against a 1.2 MPa proof pressure, on 1/2in PT ports in a 770 g body. For comparison, the 5/2 members of the 4V400 body give 48.0 mm2 and Cv 2.82, so a 5/3 build trades about a sixth of the flow for the centre function.
The code carries no voltage letter, so the coil is chosen at ordering: AC220V (4.5 VA), AC110V (4.5 VA), AC24V (5.0 VA), DC24V (3.0 W) or DC12V (2.5 W), all with terminal-box entry unless you add the grommet option. Tell us your panel voltage with the RFQ and we ship the matching coil; the mechanical valve itself is identical across voltages.
