About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X15S
A DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 25 mm bore and 15 mm stroke, the ACP25X15S is double acting: air both extends and retracts the 10 mm rod. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N, rising to 343.6 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical ceiling of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The -S code means the magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the hard-anodized aluminium body. Air supply is filtered to 40 um, pressure runs 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), and speed spans 30-500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body cannot. In practice, plan on about 147 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 15 kg vertically - halve that for a 2:1 margin and match parts up to about 7 kg. Each end carries a fixed TPU bumper that only softens end-of-travel; it never holds a load if air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for held positions. This model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACE25X15, and you should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
