The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X100-20 is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 100mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X100-20 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPJ12X100-20 is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw on the external stop trims the 100 mm stroke by up to 20 mm, giving a usable range of 80-100 mm. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa (79.2 N / 59.4 N at 0.7 MPa), running on 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) air filtered to 40 um at 30-500 mm/s. Note that the 100 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order item.
Its short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into slim pick-and-place heads and cramped fixture plates. As a planning figure, treat about 34 N (roughly 3.4 kg) as the practical working force at 0.5 MPa, or about 2.9 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. The rod carries a female M3x0.5 thread, ports are M5x0.8, and a fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. This model is discontinued; the current drop-in is the ACEJ12X100, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to strip tiny plastic or machined parts off a locating nest, and the 80-100 mm adjustable range lets you tune the eject travel without reprogramming.
Compact analytical and testing instruments use the short body to slide sample trays or shields, with the M3x0.5 female rod thread picking up a small knuckle or tray bracket.
A 12 mm bore swings or locks lightweight interlock gates on compact packaging heads, where the 50%-shorter body fits inside the guarding frame.
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force step in the family: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa versus 100.5 N for a 16 mm bore and 157.1 N for a 20 mm bore, so step up if your part mass or clamp force is close to the limit. The stop screw only shortens the extend stroke and never holds a load on air loss, so add an external stop for vertical duty. This version has no magnet (the optional -S code adds one for CMSE / DMSE switches) and a female M3x0.5 rod thread; FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the standard face. Order the ACEJ12X100 instead, since the ACPJ is discontinued.

The 100 mm stroke is non-standard for this bore (standard maximum is 50 mm), so it is made to order.
AirTAC no longer produces the ACPJ family. The current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X100, an ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class. Because the ACP is DIN-standard, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture before swapping, and remember the sensor magnet is only fitted when the -S code is ordered.
