The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X100-30SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 100mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X100-30SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This ACPJ12X100-30SB is a discontinued double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 100 mm stroke by up to 30 mm, giving a usable range of 70-100 mm. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa. Its 100 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build. The -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke signalling.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits slim jigs and guarded assemblies. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, and the hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod with a male thread (B code). For sizing: the push force supports about 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, roughly a 2.9 kg vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Production has ended - the current drop-in is ACEJ12X100, but confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping since the ACP is DIN-standard.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 70-100 mm adjustable range lets a fixture builder trim the extend stroke so a 6 mm rod ejects a bushing or pin exactly to a nest, with about 34 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa.
With the -S magnet fitted, CMSE or DMSE switches confirm rod position on a leak-test or go/no-go gauge station, cycling at 30-500 mm/s within the 70-100 mm window.
A body about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder fits tight gantry brackets, pressing light plastic housings with up to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa.
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest ACPJ size: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa versus 100.5 N for the 16 mm and 157.1 N for the 20 mm. If your load needs more than about 34 N of usable force, step up a bore. The 30 mm window only shortens the extend stroke - it is a mechanical stop, not a mid-stroke lock, so the rod can drift if air is lost. FA/FB flange or LB foot mounts bolt to the standard face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. Order the ACEJ12X100 as the current-production replacement.

Note the 100 mm stroke is made to order - the standard maximum for a 12 mm bore is 50 mm.
AirTAC no longer produces the ACPJ family. The current drop-in is the ACEJ12X100 (swap the P for an E), an ISO 21287 adjustable-stroke cylinder in the same 12 mm bore, 100 mm stroke and force class. Before swapping, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions, because the ACP was built to a DIN-standard footprint. The male rod thread, M5x0.8 port and optional -S magnet concept carry over, but verify the fixture interface.
