This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACEJ12X110-100B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACEJ12X110-100B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X110-100B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X110-100B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Double acting and adjustable, the ACPJ12X110-100B is a DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 12 mm bore, a 110 mm made-to-order stroke and a 100 mm adjustment window. An external stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere in the 10-110 mm range, so one cylinder can serve several jig positions. Push force is 56.5 N and pull force is 42.4 N at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod keeps the short ISO 21287-class format, which saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder.
Plan around roughly 34 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 2.8 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin - enough for light clamping of small brackets, sensors or covers. The male rod thread (B code) suits external knuckles, and the fixed TPU bumpers at both ends simply decelerate the piston at each end of travel. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACEJ12X110, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACEJ12X110-100B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.

|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 57 N | 42 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 79 N | 59 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 12 kgf | |
The ACEJ12X110-100B produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACPJ | DIN compact cylinder (adjustable-stroke, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 12 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×110 | Stroke length in mm. |
| -100 | Adjustable stroke window (mm the extend stroke can be shortened on site). |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
Trims the extend stroke from 110 mm down to 10 mm on a small fixture, letting one stop screw set the clamp point for different thin workpieces at about 34 N of usable force.
The short body fits inside a bench-top go/no-go gauge where an ISO 15552 profile cylinder would not; add the -S magnet code if CMSE / DMSE switch feedback is needed later.
Pushes small finished parts off a narrow machining jig with 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa, using the male rod thread to pick up a standard knuckle.
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the range: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. Step up to the 16 mm bore for 100.5 N push or the 20 mm bore for 157.1 N at the same pressure. The 110 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is built to order. The stop screw shortens the extend stroke only - it is not a mid-stroke lock, and the piston still drifts if air is lost. If you need position sensing, order the -S variant with the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches; this non-S code has no magnet. For new projects, specify ACEJ12X110 and verify the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes with 56.5 N and pulls with 42.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 79.2 N push and 59.4 N pull. The theoretical maximum is 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with a 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof pressure, speed 30-500 mm/s, air filtered to 40 um. The 110 mm stroke is a made-to-order length above the 50 mm standard maximum for a 12 mm bore.
The -100 code is a 100 mm adjustment window: an external stop screw shortens the 110 mm extend stroke on site, giving a usable range of 10-110 mm. It shortens the stroke only and does not hold a load on air loss. Fixed TPU bumpers at both ends decelerate the piston. This ACPJ is discontinued; the drop-in successor is ACEJ12X110 (same bore, stroke and force class) - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP is DIN-standard.
