The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X110-20 is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X110-20 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke, the ACPJ12X110-20 uses a 12 mm bore to deliver 56.5 N of push force and 42.4 N of pull force at 0.5 MPa (rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa). Its 110 mm stroke is a non-standard, made-to-order length for this bore, and the -20 code adds a 20 mm adjustment window: an external stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere within 90-110 mm on site. The hard-anodized aluminium body keeps the mounting length roughly 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body cannot. Note this ACPJ model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACEJ12X110.
Practical sizing: plan on about 34 N (roughly 3.4 kg of push) for real work at 0.5 MPa, which translates to lifting about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The rod carries a female M3x0.5 thread, ports are M5x0.8, and a fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-travel shock. No magnet is fitted on this version, so no position switch can be mounted; order the -S code if CMSE / DMSE sensing is needed. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s across 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) of clean, 40 um filtered air.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to nudge a folded carton off a conveyor lane, and the 90-110 mm adjustable range lets the operator fine-tune the throw without changing cylinders.

The short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, letting the latch sit behind a guard bracket where space is minimal.
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the family: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa versus 100.5 N for a 16 mm bore and 157.1 N for a 20 mm bore. Choose it for light clamping, ejecting or part-presenting under about 3.4 kg of effective load; step up to the 16 mm bore if your fixture needs more margin. The 110 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is built to order. The stop screw shortens the extend stroke only - it is a mechanical end stop, not a mid-stroke lock, so the rod will drift if air is lost. Mounting options are FA/FB flange or LB foot, and the female M3x0.5 rod thread accepts standard I/Y knuckles. For new projects, specify the ACEJ12X110, the ISO 21287 successor in the same bore, stroke and force class, and confirm mounting dimensions before swapping.
