The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X110-30SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X110-30SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPJ12X110-30SB is a discontinued double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable stroke: air drives the piston out and pulls it back, and a stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere in the 80-110 mm range set by the -30 window. This 12 mm bore unit pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical ceiling of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The 110 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard limit for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits cramped pick-and-place heads and slim test fixtures. As a rule of thumb, budget about 34 N of the 56.5 N push for real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 2.8 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The -S code on this model means the magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signals. Replacement is the current-production ACEJ12X110; confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP family was built to a DIN standard.

With about 34 N of usable force at 0.5 MPa, the cylinder seats vials or coupon specimens into a fixture gently, while the fitted magnet and a CMSE switch confirm the press stroke is complete before the cycle advances.
The short body fits inside a slim camera gantry where a full-length profile cylinder cannot, and the -S magnet with a DMSE solid-state switch gives a PLC-ready signal at the trimmed 80-110 mm extend position.
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the range: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. Step up to the 16 mm bore for 100.5 N or the 20 mm bore for 157.1 N if your part weight or clamp force needs more headroom. Note that the stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke only - on air loss the piston can still drift, so never rely on it to hold a load mid-stroke. This model carries the optional -S magnet and a male rod thread (B code), with PT port threads and FA/LB mounting options. The 110 mm stroke is non-standard for this bore and made to order. For new projects, order the ACEJ12X110 instead, which is the current drop-in successor in the same bore, stroke and force class.

An external stop screw mechanically limits the extend stroke, shortening it by up to 30 mm from the full 110 mm; it cannot lengthen the stroke past the ordered value, and it is not a mid-stroke lock - if air is lost the piston can still drift. This ACPJ model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X110, made to the ISO 21287 standard in the same bore, stroke and force class.
