About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X110-50S
The ACPJ12X110-50S is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 110 mm stroke by up to 50 mm on site, giving a usable range of 60-110 mm. At 0.5 MPa the 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N of push and 42.4 N of pull, rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa. The 110 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X110.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim fixtures and guarding where a full-length body cannot. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod, and fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends. As an -S model it carries the optional magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke sensing. A practical sizing rule: about 34 N (roughly 3 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin) is realistic working force at 0.5 MPa, not the full 56.5 N rating.
