The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X120-30S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 120mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X120-30S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This ACPJ12X120-30S is a double acting, adjustable-stroke compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACPJ family, now discontinued. Air drives the rod both ways, and the -30 stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere in a 30 mm window, so the working range is 90-120 mm. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The 120 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into slim fixtures, sliding doors and pick stations a full-length body cannot reach. Because the -S magnet is fitted on this unit, CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-travel sensing. As a working rule, budget about 34 N (roughly 3 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin) of the 0.5 MPa push for real work. For new projects, order the current-production ACEJ12X120, which matches this bore, stroke and force class - just confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACPJ is DIN-standard.
