The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X120-30SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 120mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X120-30SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Double acting with an adjustable stroke, the ACPJ12X120-30SB is a discontinued DIN-standard compact cylinder: a 12 mm bore drives a 6 mm rod through 120 mm of stroke, and the -30 stop screw trims the extend stroke by up to 30 mm on site, giving a usable range of 90-120 mm. Air at 0.5 MPa delivers 56.5 N on the push stroke and 42.4 N on the pull stroke, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa. The 120 mm stroke is longer than the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped to the body for end-of-travel sensing.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits slim jigs and guarding where a full-length body cannot fit. For sizing, treat about 0.6 of the push force as usable work at 0.5 MPa, roughly 34 N, which corresponds to lifting about 3 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. A fixed TPU bumper at each end decelerates the piston; it never locks or holds a load, and on air loss the piston drifts. This model is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X120, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).

At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the range: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. Step up to the 16 mm bore for 100.5 N push at the same pressure, or down from a 20 mm bore (157.1 N) if you are over-sizing a light pick-and-place move. The male rod thread (B code) suits external knuckle brackets, while the FA flange or LB foot bolts to standard fixture faces. If you need position feedback, this -S version already carries the magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches; other versions must be ordered with the -S code. Since the ACPJ is discontinued, order the ACEJ12X120 as the current replacement and verify the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first.

The ACPJ family is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X120 in the same bore, stroke and force class, but confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping because the ACP was built to a DIN standard.
