The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X125-30S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 125mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X125-30S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Double acting and adjustable in stroke, this discontinued ACPJ12X125-30S carries a 12 mm bore with a 125 mm made-to-order stroke and a 30 mm trim window: an external stop screw shortens the extend stroke anywhere in the 95-125 mm range, so one cylinder serves several fixture depths. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N, rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical ceiling of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
Plan on roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (about 0.6 of the push rating), which corresponds to lifting about 3 kg vertically - and halve that to around 1.7 kg if you want a 2:1 margin on a vertical lift. The 6 mm rod ends in a female M3x0.5 thread and the ports are M5x0.8. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke signalling. Production has ended: the current drop-in is the ACEJ12X125, and you should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP was built to a DIN standard.

A 30-40 mm trimmed extend stroke seats small connectors or bearings in electronics assembly, using about 34 N of usable push force at 0.5 MPa.

At 56.5 N push (0.5 MPa) this 12 mm bore suits light clamping, sorting and eject tasks; step up to the 16 mm bore (100.5 N push) if the load doubles, or down only if space is tighter than the force budget. The 125 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is made to order - expect a lead time. The stop screw trims the extend stroke only within the ordered 30 mm window; it is a mechanical end stop, not a mid-stroke lock, so on air loss the piston still drifts and cannot hold a load. FA/FB flanges and LB feet bolt to the standard face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. For new projects, order the current ACEJ12X125 instead.

A stop screw at the head end shortens the extend stroke by up to 30 mm within the ordered window; it cannot lengthen the stroke past 125 mm and it does not brake or hold a load. A fixed TPU bumper pads both ends. The ACPJ family is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X125 (same bore, stroke and force class); confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, as the ACP was DIN-standard.
