AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACEJ12X15-10B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X15-10B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 15mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X15-10B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This discontinued AirTAC model is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: the -10 code gives a 10 mm stop-screw window, so the 15 mm stroke can be trimmed on site to any usable range between 5 and 15 mm. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), speed runs 30-500 mm/s, and a fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim jigs and fixture plates where a full-length body will not fit. For sizing, treat roughly 34 N (about 60% of the 56.5 N push) as the practical working force at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to lifting about 1.7 kg vertically - halve that to roughly 0.9 kg if you want a 2:1 margin. The B code gives a male 6 mm rod thread, the port is M5x0.8, and no magnet is fitted unless the -S code is ordered. Note this series is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACEJ12X15, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP body is DIN-standard.

This model is discontinued - order ACEJ12X15 as the current equivalent and verify the ISO 21287 mounting footprint first.
