About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X15-20B
This is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: an external stop screw trims the 15 mm stroke within the ordered 20 mm window, so the usable range is 0-15 mm. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa (79.2 N / 59.4 N at 0.7 MPa, 11.5 kgf theoretical maximum at 1.0 MPa). The B code gives a male M3x0.5 rod thread on the 6 mm rod, and the M5x0.8 port follows the bore. Air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) filtered to 40 um, with rod speed from 30-500 mm/s.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. Plan on roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (about 60% of the rated push), which lifts about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note that the stop screw sets the end of stroke only; on air loss the piston still drifts, so it is not a load-holding brake. This model is discontinued - the current-production replacement is ACEJ12X15, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacing the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X15-20B with the ACEJ12X15-20B
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the family: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. Step up to the 16 mm bore for 100.5 N push, or drop to a smaller actuator only if your load is under about 34 N of real work. The male M3x0.5 rod thread suits knuckle and bracket attachments; FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the same face. If you need position sensing, order the -S variant, which carries the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches - this non-S code has no magnet and accepts no sensor. For new builds, specify ACEJ12X15 instead, the current ISO 21287 successor.
