About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X150-20B
This is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 150 mm stroke by up to 20 mm on site, giving a usable range of 130-150 mm. Bore 12 delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa (79.2 / 59.4 N at 0.7 MPa, 11.5 kgf theoretical max at 1.0 MPa). The 150 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for bore 12, so it is a made-to-order build. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACEJ12X150.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim fixtures and guard rails. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome 6 mm rod with a male thread (B code), M5x0.8 ports, and fixed TPU bumpers at both ends. For sizing, expect roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (about 0.6 of the push rating), which lifts about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. No magnet is fitted; the optional -S code adds one for CMSE / DMSE switches. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) at 30-500 mm/s.
