A double acting compact cylinder with adjustable stroke, the ACPJ12X150-20S runs on a 12 mm bore and delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa (rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa). Its 150 mm stroke is a made-to-order length, since the standard catalogue limit for bore 12 is 50 mm. The -20 code adds a 20 mm adjustment window: a stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere in a 130-150 mm range on site. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped to the hard-anodized aluminium body for end-of-stroke signalling.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight fixtures, sliding guards and small gantries. For sizing, treat about 34 N (0.6 x 56.5 N) as the usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. At 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, bore 12 suits light clamping, part ejection and small slide actuation. Step up to bore 16 (100.5 N push) if the load needs nearly double the force, or down only if the stroke can be shorter, since bore 12 is already the smallest in the family. Remember the stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke, not a mid-stroke lock - on air loss the piston still drifts, so do not rely on it to hold a load. The female M3x0.5 rod thread accepts I/Y knuckles, and FA flange or LB foot mounts bolt to the face. If you need position feedback, this -S version already has the magnet; order CMSE or DMSE switches separately. For new projects, specify the ACEJ12X150 instead, as this ACPJ model is discontinued.
