The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X160-20SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 160mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X160-20SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This AirTAC ACPJ12X160-20SB is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 160 mm stroke by up to 20 mm, giving a usable range of 140-160 mm. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa. Note that the 160 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for bore 12, so this unit is a made-to-order build. The model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X160 in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into narrow fixtures and guarding where a full-length body cannot. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, and the hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod with a male thread (the B code). Because the S code is on this unit, the magnet is fitted and CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the body. As a sizing rule, plan on about 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (roughly 0.6 of the rated push), which is about 3 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin.
