The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X175-10 is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 175mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X175-10 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This ACPJ12X175-10 is a double acting, adjustable-stroke compact cylinder with a 12 mm bore and a 175 mm stroke, built on the DIN-standard short-body format. Air drives the rod in both directions, and a stop screw trims the extend stroke by up to 10 mm, giving a usable range of 165-175 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 79.2 N and 59.4 N, with a theoretical maximum of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The 175 mm stroke is longer than the 50 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim fixtures and guarding where a full-length body cannot. As a working rule, plan on about 34 N (roughly 3 kg vertical lift) of real work at 0.5 MPa instead of the full 56.5 N rating. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X175, and you should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. The optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches; this unit has no magnet fitted.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to kick lightweight molded caps or bushings off a mold face, and the 165-175 mm adjustable reach fits shallow die space.
A 12 mm bore with a 6 mm rod and 30-500 mm/s speed moves vial carriers gently, while the 10 mm stop screw lets technicians fine-tune the extend position without shimming.
About 3 kg of practical vertical thrust at 0.5 MPa folds light flaps, and the short body saves roughly half the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder inside tight packaging frames.
At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the range: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. If your load needs more, step up to the 16 mm bore (100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa) or the 20 mm bore (157.1 N). The -10 window only shortens the extend stroke; it is a mechanical end stop, not a mid-stroke lock, so the piston still drifts if air is lost. Mounting is FA/FB flange or LB foot, and the M3x0.5 female rod thread takes standard I/Y knuckles. Order the -S code if you need the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. For new projects, specify the ACEJ12X175 instead, since this ACPJ is discontinued.
