The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X175-50SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 175mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X175-50SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 175 mm stroke by up to 50 mm, giving a usable range of 125-175 mm on site. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The 175 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a non-standard, made-to-order build. The male rod thread (B code) and PT ports are set by the ordering code.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim fixtures and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. Because the -S magnet is fitted, CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke sensing. A practical sizing rule: at 0.5 MPa plan on roughly 34 N of real work (about 0.6 of the push rating), which lifts about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note that this ACPJ model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X175, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping since the ACP is DIN-standard.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to kick lightweight molded caps or bushings off a mold nest, and the 125-175 mm adjustable window lets the operator tune the eject position without re-machining the fixture.

At 12 mm bore this sits at the light end of the ACPJ range: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa versus 100.5 N for the 16 mm bore and 157.1 N for the 20 mm bore, so step up a size if your load approaches 40 N. Remember the stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke, not a mid-stroke lock - on air loss the piston still drifts, so do not rely on it to hold a load. The male rod thread suits external knuckle joints, and FA flange or LB foot mounts bolt to the standard face. If you need position feedback, this unit already carries the optional -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. For new projects, order the ACEJ12X175 instead, as this ACPJ is discontinued.
