This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACEJ12X200-75B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACEJ12X200-75B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X200-75B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 200mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X200-75B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This discontinued ACPJ12X200-75B is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 200 mm stroke by up to 75 mm, giving a usable range of 125-200 mm on site. The 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa (79.2 / 59.4 N at 0.7 MPa), running on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with a speed range of 30-500 mm/s. The 200 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a non-standard, made-to-order build.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim slides and compact test rigs where a full-length cylinder will not reach. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends and only decelerates the piston; it never locks or holds a load, and on air loss the piston still drifts. Plan on roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The rod end is male thread (B code), the port is M5x0.8, and no magnet is fitted - the optional -S code is required before any CMSE / DMSE switch can be used. Replacement: ACEJ12X200, same bore, stroke and force class - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACEJ12X200-75B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.

|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 57 N | 42 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 79 N | 59 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 12 kgf | |
The ACEJ12X200-75B produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.

| 12 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×200 | Stroke length in mm. |
| -75 | Adjustable stroke window (mm the extend stroke can be shortened on site). |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
Trims a 125-200 mm probe stroke on a bench-top leak or dimension-check rig, where the 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa presses a light sensor head into contact and the short body fits under the guard.
Kicks clips, pins or gaskets off a fixture with about 34 N of usable force at 0.5 MPa; the male rod thread (B) bolts straight to a custom ejector pin.
Sets final PCB or connector position on site within the 75 mm window, so one cylinder serves several product variants without re-plumbing.
Size both ways: if 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is marginal for your jig, step up to the 16 mm bore (100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa); if the load is under about 34 N, the same 12 mm bore in a shorter standard stroke may cost less. The 75 mm window suits fixtures where the final position is tuned after installation - remember the stop shortens the extend stroke only and is not a mid-stroke lock. FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings fit the ISO 21287 face. Order the -S variant if you need CMSE / DMSE switching; this B-code model has no magnet. For new designs, specify the current-production ACEJ12X200 instead.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 79.2 N and 59.4 N, with a theoretical maximum of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, temperature -20 to +70 C, and the port is M5x0.8. The 200 mm stroke is a made-to-order length, since the bore 12 standard maximum is 50 mm.
The -75 code sets a 75 mm adjustment window: an external stop screw shortens the 200 mm extend stroke to any length down to 125 mm. It is a mechanical end stop, not a load-holding brake, so the rod still drifts if air is lost. The ACPJ family is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X200 in the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, as the ACP is DIN-standard.
