The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X45-10 is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 45mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X45-10 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A double acting compact cylinder with adjustable stroke, the ACPJ12X45-10 uses a 12 mm bore to deliver 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa. A stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere within the 10 mm window, so the usable range is 35-45 mm. The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
Plan on roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (about 60% of the rated push), which corresponds to lifting about 1.7 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod with a fixed TPU bumper at both ends, running 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X45, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).

At 12 mm bore this is the smallest force class in the family: 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. Step up to the 16 mm bore for 100.5 N push or the 20 mm bore for 157.1 N if the load needs more margin. The stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke only, not a mid-stroke lock, so the piston still drifts if air is lost. The rod ends in a female M3x0.5 thread and the port is M5x0.8. This unit has no magnet because the -S code was not ordered; specify ACPJ12X45-10S if CMSE / DMSE switches are needed. FA/FB flange and LB foot mounts bolt to the ISO 21287 face. Discontinued - order the ACEJ12X45 as the current replacement.
