About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X45-20SB
The ACPJ12X45-20SB is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: the -20 code gives a 20 mm stop-screw window, so the 45 mm stroke can be trimmed on site anywhere between 25 and 45 mm. It is discontinued, and the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X45 in the same bore, stroke and force class. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke signalling.
With a 12 mm bore it delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. In practice, plan on roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to lifting about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, and a fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. Air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), filtered to 40 um, with speeds of 30-500 mm/s.
