About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X5-10S
The ACPJ12X5-10S is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 5 mm stroke within a 10 mm window, giving a usable range of 0-5 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N, rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa. The 12 mm bore carries an M5x0.8 port and a 6 mm rod with a female M3x0.5 thread. The -S code means the magnet is fitted, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the body.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with S45C hard-chrome rod saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into slim fixtures, micro-assembly heads and guarding where a full-length body will not go. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. In practical terms, plan on roughly 34 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (about 0.6 of the push rating), which lifts about 3 kg vertically - and with the 2:1 margin halved, about 1 kg. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X5, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP is DIN-standard.
