About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X50-20
The ACPJ12X50-20 is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: the -20 stop screw trims the 50 mm stroke by up to 20 mm on site, giving a usable range of 30-50 mm. At the 12 mm bore it delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) and rod speed runs 30-500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim fixtures and guarding where a full-length body cannot. In practice, plan for about 34 N (roughly 3.5 kg) of real work at 0.5 MPa, and expect it to lift about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note the stop screw sets the end position only - it is not a mid-stroke lock, so the rod still drifts if air is lost. This model is discontinued; the current drop-in is ACEJ12X50, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
