The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X50-50SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 50mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X50-50SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke, the ACPJ12X50-50SB carries a 12 mm bore and a 50 mm stroke trimmed by a 50 mm stop-screw window, so the usable extend range runs from 0 to 50 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 79.2 N and 59.4 N, with a theoretical ceiling of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body cannot.
This unit is ordered with the -S magnet fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped straight onto the body for end-of-stroke signalling, and the B code gives a male rod thread on the 6 mm rod. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end to soften arrival, and the stop screw only shortens the extend stroke - it is not a mid-stroke lock, so the piston will still drift if air is lost. Note that the ACPJ family is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X50, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping because the ACP was built to a DIN standard. Size both ways before committing: the 16 mm bore in this family delivers 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa, while stepping down is not possible since 12 mm is the smallest ACPJ bore. If your part weight or process force sits near 34 N or less at 0.5 MPa, this 12 mm unit has a comfortable 2:1 margin. The male rod thread (B code) suits knuckle and tooling attachments, and the fitted -S magnet pairs with CMSE / DMSE switches for position feedback. FA/FB flange and LB foot mounts bolt to the standard face.
