The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X60-75S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 60mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X60-75S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPJ12X60-75S is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke, built on the DIN-standard ACP short body: hard-anodized aluminium with an S45C hard-chrome rod. At 0.5 MPa the 12 mm bore delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull; at 0.7 MPa that rises to 79.2 N push. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body cannot. Note that the 60 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a made-to-order item.
The -75 code sets a 75 mm adjustment window: an external stop screw trims the extend stroke on site anywhere within 0-60 mm, and a fixed TPU bumper decelerates the piston at each end. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted for end-position sensing. As a rule of thumb, plan on roughly 34 N (about 3 kg of vertical lift) of usable work at 0.5 MPa rather than the full 56.5 N rating. The ACPJ family is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ12X60, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to kick lightweight molded clips or bushings off a mold face, and the adjustable stop lets the operator dial the eject distance anywhere in the 0-60 mm window without changing hardware.
With the -S magnet fitted, CMSE or DMSE switches confirm the end positions of a light press or clinch step on PCB fixtures, where the short body must fit inside a compact machine frame.
About 34 N of practical holding force at 0.5 MPa secures thin sheet-metal brackets during tack welding, and the LB foot mounting anchors the cylinder flat against the fixture plate.
For a 60 mm stroke at this force level, compare both directions: the 16 mm bore gives 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa if you need more headroom, while stepping down is not possible since 12 mm is the smallest ACPJ bore. The adjuster is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke only - on air loss the piston still drifts, so do not rely on it to hold a load mid-stroke. This model has the -S magnet fitted for CMSE / DMSE switches and a female M3x0.5 rod thread. FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the standard face. Since ACPJ is discontinued, order the ACEJ12X60 as the current equivalent and verify ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first.
