The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X70-10B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 70mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X70-10B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPJ12X70-10B is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 70 mm stroke by up to 10 mm, giving a usable range of 60-70 mm on site. This 12 mm bore unit delivers 56.5 N push and 42.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The 70 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for bore 12, so it is a made-to-order build. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACEJ12X70.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into slim fixtures, small gantries and guarded stations where a full-length body cannot. In practice, plan on about 34 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa (roughly 60% of the rating), which means this cylinder lifts about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin - enough for small covers, sensors or light plastic parts. The rod end is male thread (B code) with a PT port thread, and the fixed TPU bumper at each end simply decelerates the piston; it never locks or holds a load.

The 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa and 60-70 mm adjustable range suit nudging finished caps or connectors off a mold nest, with the male rod thread taking a custom ejector tip.

Bore 12 is the smallest in the ACPJ range, so if your load needs more than about 34 N of working force, step up to bore 16 (100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa) or bore 20 (157.1 N). Match the -10 window only when your jig needs less than 10 mm of stroke trimming; wider windows of 20-100 mm exist for other variants. This unit has no magnet (no S code), so no CMSE or DMSE switch can be fitted - order an -S version if sensing is required. FA flange or LB foot mounts bolt to the standard face. Before ordering, remember the ACPJ is discontinued: specify ACEJ12X70 and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture.

The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the short DIN-standard compact format, saving about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, with FA flange or LB foot mounting and an M5x0.8 port. This ACPJ12X70-10B is discontinued: order the ACEJ12X70, which swaps the P for an E and matches the same bore, stroke and force class as the current ISO 21287 drop-in. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture before swapping, and add the -S code if you need the optional magnet for CMSE or DMSE switches.
