The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X70-10S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 70mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X70-10S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke, the ACPJ12X70-10S carries a 12 mm bore and a 70 mm stroke trimmed by a 10 mm stop window, so the working range is 60-70 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 79.2 N and 59.4 N, with a theoretical ceiling of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Note that the 70 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm maximum standard stroke for bore 12, so this unit is made to order. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X70, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP is DIN-standard.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into cramped fixture plates and guarding frames. Bore 12 delivers 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa; step down only if your load is under about 34 N, and step up to bore 16 (100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa) if the 6 mm rod or the 42.4 N pull force feels marginal for your return stroke. The stop screw only shortens the extend stroke inside the 10 mm window - it is a mechanical end stop, not a mid-stroke lock, so the piston still drifts if air is lost. Mounting uses FA/FB flanges or LB feet on the ISO 21287 face, and this -S unit already carries the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. Order the ACEJ12X70 as the current drop-in replacement.
