About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X70-20SB
Double acting and adjustable in stroke, the ACPJ12X70-20SB is a DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 12 mm bore and a 70 mm stroke. A stop screw trims the extend stroke by up to 20 mm on site, giving a usable range of 50-70 mm, and the -S code means the magnet is fitted so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the body. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures and guarding where a full-length body cannot. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod, fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends, and the male rod thread (B code) suits knuckle brackets. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACEJ12X70, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. As a working rule, plan on roughly 34 N (about 2.9 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin) rather than the full 56.5 N rating.
