The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X70-75SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 70mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X70-75SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This double acting compact cylinder carries a 12 mm bore with a 70 mm made-to-order stroke and a 75 mm adjustment window, so an external stop screw can trim the extend stroke anywhere in a 0-70 mm range on site. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 79.2 N and 59.4 N, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The male rod thread (B code) and the fitted -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches make it ready for sensorised small fixtures.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into slim pick-and-place heads and guarded test rigs. Because about 60% of the 56.5 N push is realistic working force, plan on roughly 34 N of real work - about 3 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Note the 70 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for bore 12, so it is built to order. The 75 mm window lets one cylinder serve several stroke settings on the same fixture, but remember the stop screw only shortens the extend stroke - it is not a mid-stroke lock, and on air loss the piston still drifts. Mounting uses FA/FB flanges or LB feet on the ISO 21287 face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. For new designs, order the current ACEJ12X70 instead.
