About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X80-20B
The ACPJ12X80-20B is a double acting adjustable-stroke compact cylinder with a 12 mm bore and an 80 mm stroke, trimmed by a 20 mm external stop screw so the extend stroke can be set anywhere from 60 to 80 mm on site. Push force is 56.5 N and pull 42.4 N at 0.5 MPa, rising to 79.2 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf. The male rod thread (B code) carries a 6 mm rod, and the M5x0.8 ports suit the small-bore air circuit.
The hard-anodized aluminium body keeps the mounting length about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. Plan on roughly 34 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 2.9 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note the 80 mm stroke exceeds the 50 mm standard maximum for bore 12, so it is made to order. This model is discontinued; the current drop-in is the ISO 21287 ACEJ12X80 - confirm mounting dimensions before swapping.
