AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACEJ12X90-10B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ12X90-10B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø12mm bore and 90mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ12X90-10B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Double acting and adjustable, the ACPJ12X90-10B is a discontinued DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 12 mm bore and a made-to-order 90 mm stroke. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 56.5 N and pulls 42.4 N, rising to 79.2 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 11.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The -10 code gives a 10 mm adjustment window: a stop screw trims the extend stroke on site, so the usable range is 80-90 mm. Air filtered to 40 um, 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome 6 mm rod saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures. The male rod thread (B code) suits external knuckles. Plan on roughly 34 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 3 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. This model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is ACEJ12X90, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 34 N usable push at 0.5 MPa is enough to kick light plastic or stamped parts off a nest, and the 80-90 mm trimmed stroke clears shallow dies.
With the optional -S magnet and CMSE / DMSE switches, the 90 mm stroke confirms part seating on electronics inspection benches.
79.2 N at 0.7 MPa suits pressing small nylon spacers into housings where a larger bore would damage the part.
Size both ways: if 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is more than your jig needs, the 12 mm is already the smallest bore; if you need roughly 100.5 N, step up to the 16 mm. The stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke, not a mid-stroke lock, so the piston still drifts on air loss. The B code gives a male rod thread; the optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches, but without it no sensor can be fitted. Order the ACEJ12X90 as the current replacement.

The -10 code is a 10 mm window: an external stop screw shortens the 90 mm extend stroke on site to any length from 80 to 90 mm; it cannot lengthen past 90 mm. Fixed TPU bumpers at both ends absorb end-of-travel contact. The model is discontinued, so order the ACEJ12X90 as the drop-in and confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first, since the ACPJ is DIN-standard.
