The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X100-20B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 100mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X100-20B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This double acting compact cylinder trims its own extend stroke on site: the -20 code gives a 20 mm adjustment window, so the stop screw shortens the 100 mm stroke anywhere down to 80 mm without changing hardware. The 16 mm bore delivers 100.5 N push and 75.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 140.7 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 20.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Note that the 100 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into narrow jig plates and guard rails. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, the hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod, and the male rod thread (B code) suits knuckle brackets. As a working figure, plan on roughly 60 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 3 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. This ACPJ model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACEJ16X100, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Size the bore by load: if 100.5 N at 0.5 MPa is marginal for your fixture, step up to the 20 mm bore (157.1 N push at 0.5 MPa); if the load is light, the 12 mm bore (56.5 N) saves space. The stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke only - on air loss the piston still drifts, so never rely on it to hold a load mid-stroke. FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the standard face, and the male rod thread accepts I/Y knuckles. If you need position sensing, order the -S variant, which carries the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches; this B-code unit has no magnet. For new projects, specify the ACEJ16X100 instead, as this model is discontinued.
